Farakh Alim / Creative director

Style has been an inborn impulse for me and I can most definitely say fashion has been one of my very first innate instincts.

The understanding of aesthetics, trends, colours & patterns come to me as a blessing, and I have been lucky enough to pursue my Passion as my career.

My parents were very fashionable and trendy in their era, so I think it Was passed on in the genes. Growing up, they would dress me up in the most fashionable, cute little clothes and accessories. It feels like nothing has changed.

Since it was my calling, I decided to study Fashion Management at George brown, Toronto, which helped me to gain a better understanding of the nuances of the fashion industry. I also have a degree in Bachelors Of Business Management.

I started working in the fashion industry ten years back while I was studying in Toronto and continued with working as a marketing / PR intern at Maison, Bangalore which housed world class brands, such as YSL, Anya Hindmarch, Giuseppe Zanotti, Mawi, Tibi, Philip Plein.

I have worked with fashion designers as the marketing head and then moved onto help establish international brands like Knockaround Sunglasses in India.

For the last three years I have been working as a full-time fashion stylist & creative director, and it is the most loved job I have ever had.
